What is "Nadine"?

"Nadine" is an upcoming short film set to launch its festival circuit in 2025, also serving as a compelling pitch for a limited series. The film features an impressive cast, including Grace Caroline Currey (known for "Fall" and "Shazam!"), Tyler Posey ("Teen Wolf"), and Michael Bunin ("Superstore"). It is written and directed by Tash Ann, and produced by Chris Polczinski and Ryan Weaver (for a complete list of producers, please refer to the about section).

Both the short film and the proposed series delve into the lives of women in the entertainment industry during the early to mid-1950s, a transformative era marking the decline of Hollywood's golden age. The narrative examines the challenges actresses faced with their studio contracts, the crumbling studio system, and the burgeoning tabloid and paparazzi culture that began to invade the private lives of the era's stars. "Nadine" promises to offer a poignant exploration of these themes, engaging audiences with its rich historical context and timely relevance.
