What is Nadine?

How did we get here?

In the winter of 2024 we began with a script and a dream. We grew our team of amazing producers and talent and prepared to launch a kickstarter with an ambitious goal of raising $60K to make a period piece short film.

We worked with talented Kickstarter coach Justin Giddings to make the best possible strategy and we were ASTOUNDED when in May we reached our goal thanks to over 400 contributors!

Because of everyone's generousity both with financial contributors and as sponsors (huge thanks to Joseff of Hollywood and Besame Cosmetics) we were able to film two jam-packed days and create a short film that doubles as part of a pitch for a limited series.

Everyone involved is so proud of this project and so grateful for all the support and kindness we have received.

Nadine is a live action short film set towards the end of the Hollywood Studio System in 1956. It is a story about the resilience of the human spirit as our main character experiences the darker sides of success, fame and life inside the cage of a studio contract. Our short script is a pitch for a much larger story, delving into many scandals and injustices of the period.

Our story is not based on any one studio era actress but it stands as a tribute to the great talent that these women were able to gift the world while facing injustices few of us can ever really understand.
